Can I just start off by saying how PERFECT Lilly Pulitzer is? And how it was MADE for me? Yes, yes...everyone thinks Lilly was made for them. But let me tell you a few coincidences...
1.) Lilly Pulitzer "Kirkland" Dress
What's so weird about this? My kitties name is Kirkland!!
2.) Lilly Pulitzer "Sarafina" Dress
What's so weird about THIS? My other kitties name is Sarafina. And the second weird thing about it is most people spell Sarafina like "Seraphina"...not Lilly..or me!
3.) Lilly Pulitzer "Mimosa" Skirt
Alright, alright....have you noticed the trend? That's right- Another one of my kitties is named Mimosa.
That's three for three!!! And I named all my kitties before I had even heard of Lilly Pulitzer....
Now I'm just waiting for them to come out with a new style named the "Veda" (my little kittens name :p )
So maybe I'm not so special and Lilly and I just have great name taste ;)
(ps. So, SO sorry anout not posting in FOREVER. As much as I love college, it can be quite draining and very time consuming. Hopefully I'll be able to find some time here and there to post!)
Thanks for reading!

My favorite Initial Decor products!
Can I just start off by saying how awesome Initial Decor is? Sooooo many cute items to choose from, and so reasonably priced! As a financially starving college student, the prices are even appealing to me..and that's saying a lot! ;p
They so kindly sent me a few pieces to show off to all my friends, and dare I say, I could have possibly OVER-showed them off. I couldn't stop raving about them!! My absolute favorite piece is the monogrammed elephant ring!!! Not only is it blue (my favorite color!), but how cute are elephants? So preppy!
Here's a few pics of the pieces!!! Check out their other products at http://www.initialdecor.com/ and don't forget to use code "summer" for 20% off your purchase!!

Literally though how cute is this? And the band is adjustable so you can wear it on any finger!
This bow necklace goes with so many different colors and outfits (fancy or casual!), and is the perfect length for all your tops and dresses!
I've just been thinking up all the different outfits I can wear these with, and am looking forward to Christmas time, because they remind me of the holidays!!!
Thanks for reading, y'all!!

Why It's Hard To Be Preppy In The North ):
Most of the time, I like to consider myself a preppy person. But other times, I realize that I'm not as "preppy" as I'd like to be. Don't even get me started about how hard it is to remain preppy in a state that's focused on the "hipster" and "country" aspects of fashion. Did you know that the only Lilly store in New York is in the city? That's over four hours from where I live. No way I'm driving there just to buy an Elsa ;p. Additionally, the only Vineyard Vines stores are also only in the city. That leaves me with no choice but to order online! And you know how that goes..shipping can be super expensive sometimes, and if they do offer free shipping, it's usually over something like $125, and maybe I didn't want to spend that much.
Let's talk about those cute Tory boots and the fashionable Jack Rogers. In upstate, New York, I forever remain torn about whether or not to purchase them. I bought two pairs of Jacks earlier this summer, and ultimately decided that with the totally bipolar weather of NY, I felt as if I'd never get a chance to wear them. The sandals are way too cute to have them get covered in mud as soon as I leave my house. Tory Burch boots are gorgeous, but not warm enough or sturdy enough to wear through New York winters. With rain and sleet and snow up to my knees, spending $300 on boots that will just soak through doesn't strike me as a good idea.
On top of everything, most people in my area don't even KNOW what Lilly Pulitzer and Tory Burch and Jack Rogers and Vineyard Vines are. Alas, I try to stay as preppy as I can, though it can be difficult at times.
Anyone else in the North find it difficult or is it just me? Let me know below and we can all wallow in self pity together :p

Such a busy summer!
Remember how I said I'd like to post every other day? Oops! That didn't work out as planned. Except maybe I sort of have a reason this week. I'm actually on "vacation" in South Carolina until Thursday. I use the term vacation lightly. Long story short, my "friend" who I came to stay with turned out to be a not-so-pleasant person and alas, I am spending my last two days here in a hotel by myself until my newly scheduled flight (I was originally planning to leave Sunday). Even though I've been ten miles from the beach since Friday, I have yet to even lay eyes on it. Overall, this trip was a bust.
On the bright side, I've been keeping myself occupied in my hotel room by doing some online shopping for Lilly!! Today I scored a Lilly dress for $20.00 on ebay!!! And I ordered my new Lilly agenda yesterday, too!!! I ordered the large in Trippin and Sippin! Did y'all order yours yet?! Can't wait to use mine.

Hope y'all are having a great week, and I know some of you are graduating this week (or already did), so a big CONGRATS to you!!! All your hard work paid off and now you're on to bigger and better things! Any of y'all headed up North for college? Comment below and tell me where you're going!

It's here, it's here!! I have a blog!!
Hey y'all!! I'm "PreppyNortherner" from Instagram, and I'm very excited to start my own blog! I hope to update at least every other day, but hopefully daily! I figured this post may be a good chance to tell you all a little bit about myself. My name is Eisha, but my friends typically refer to me as "Emmie", as my first name and two middle names sort of spell out "emmie", except using only three letters (EME) :p I love having two middle names, but it makes monogramming a bit more difficult. Which middle name do I use?! (I prefer my first middle name, so currently, I have nothing personalized using the second). I am 18 years old (19 in 24 days), and a junior at Cornell University, which is located in Ithaca, NY. At Cornell, I am a communications and business major. Before beginning college, I attended a very small high school in a super small, "country", town {My graduating class had only 68 people!} in upstate New York. I have two loving parents, two amazing older siblings, two rambunctious doggies, and two cute kitties!
{Here's me with my older siblings, Kyle and Michaela at my senior prom!}
{My handsome daddy, and beautiful momma}
{My crazy kitty Kirkland, and my precious pup Rumford}
{My fancy lil' lady, Schatzie}
{My second kitty is a little camera shy ): }
I like to consider myself the "preppiest" of my friends, but I have certainly brought about the monogram madness among my girlfriends!! I've bought countless monogrammed goodies for my friends lately, they've HAD to start liking them :p
Anywho, I am extremely excited to begin posting item reviews and seeing where my blog may lead. Stay tuned!! Thanks for reading!
Stay preppy!
